Dr Nicole Lawler

Dr. Nicole Lawler graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Macquarie University and also has a Certificate in Clinical Pilates from DMA Clinic.

She is the mother of 3 vibrant boys and is an enthusiastic runner in her spare time. Nicole tailors her approach to each individual’s requirements and values listening to her patients’ needs. She is passionate about her work and stays up to date with current research, by attending chiropractic conferences (not Dr Google!!).  Nicole is focused on health care for the entire family from babies through to the young at heart and provides safe, gentle, effective, and high-quality care in an environment that is compassionate, professional, educational, and fun.

Mark Sorensen

Bachelor of Science – UNSW Anatomy major, Grad Dip in Chiropractic, Grad Dip in Acupuncture – Acupuncture Association of Australia

Mark studied Science at UNSW with an Anatomy major, and Chiropractic at Sydney Chiropractic College (now Macquarie University) finishing in 1987 followed by a Graduate Diploma in Acupuncture in 1990. During the past 28 years Mark has run and directed a multi-disciplinary practice, Gymea Allied Health.

Mark has spent most of his life in the Sutherland Shire enjoying the parks, beaches and waterways. In his younger years he represented NSW in athletics which later developed into triathlon competition. He continues to mountain bike and swims weekly and is also a keen sailor. The remainder of his time is dedicated to his family, his wife and adult sons.

Mark in his 30 years practising has had the opportunity to study a large variety of muscular skeletal techniques and incorporates these into his treatment. These range from the nutritional aspects of muscular skeletal dysfunction to specialised acupuncture and trigger point techniques. Mark’s main passion however is the importance of posture, postural awareness, strengthening of the body and its relationship to spine degeneration.

• Seeing patients progress, always top of the list!
• Involved in the pilot program for the implementation of the NSW-MVA management of whiplash associated disorders (WAD)
• Participated in a successful 3 year injury prevention program for “high risk workers” at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO). This was directed at the “hot lab” isotope mixing and cyclotron staff and Lucas Heights and RPA Hospital Sydney.
• Organised a 12 month program at Qantas Domestic terminal for baggage handlers offering preventive injury management and support.

 

Melisah Vizzone

I have 22 years experience as a Massage Therapist, through my time I’ve worked and traveled extensively with the NRL – 1st grade, I was with the Sharks for 8 seasons, although I worked with all the teams in the NRL during my time with them.

Also worked with QLD team in the state of origin; Kangaroos NRL team; Traveled with Australian and NSW veteran’s hockey in the Men’s Masters for about 10 years & still do work with them from time to time; Worked at the SFS – NSW & Australian cricket teams including the women’s team; Multiple national & international Rugby union and cricket teams; Australian Swimming under a physio.  I’ve had an amazing career and still love what I do today.

Nick Tzatzagos

Nick is a Professional Massage Therapist with 15 years experience in the Allied Health Industry.

He has a passion for massage and the therapeutic benefits that can be achieved through regular treatment. Nick has a broad range of work environments in which he draws on, to help tailor his clients needs. From working with the elderly in Aged Care, athletes at the gym, osteopathic and medical centre services.

Nick brings a depth of expertise to Padstow Chiropractic.

He is a member of the Australian Traditional Medical Society (ATMS) and provides a range of techniques such as:

Michael Flack

Massage Therapist
Michael has many years of experience, across all ages and disciplines of massage. His techniques cover everything from relaxation to deep tissue sports therapy. Michael has been working with Hockey NSW Masters since 2011 and Australian Ironman since 2012, so has a broad range of experience in treating athletes, weekend warriors and everyone in between!

With a passion for remedial massage he gives nothing but his best and works with the clients to get the best possible results.

Michael is a Registered Remedial massage therapist and is claimable on ALL health funds.

Dr Andre Denize

Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncturist
B.App Sc Acu, Cert China.
Andre has over 20 years experience with Chinese and Korean acupuncture.

He has special interest in natural pain management. Acupuncture and acupressure is often combined with traditional techniques such as cupping, herbal patches and remedial bodywork.

How long does this take to work?

This really depends on what this is and how long you have had it, however for many conditions 3-6 treatments should provide a decent indicator of your bodies inherent ability to resolve and heal itself. Treatments can be integrative to support your current healthcare needs, providing lasting improvements and are side effect free.

Michelle Bruce

Michelle is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and member of the Dietitians Association of Australia and Sports Dietitians Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics Honours from the University of Wollongong, and has worked in the health and fitness industry since 2012. Michelle has gained invaluable experience in a variety of key dietetic areas including clinical, community and food service settings. Michelle is also qualified as a personal trainer so has a well rounded view of nutrition, fitness and general health.

Michelle practises a client-centred approach, offering advice tailored for the individual, whilst providing support and motivation to assist her clients in making sustainable lifestyle changes to optimise their health. She consults on general nutritional issues including healthy eating, food intolerances, diabetes management, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. 

Michelle also has a strong interest in sports nutrition, and recently completed a Performance Nutrition Fellowship with the NSW Waratahs Super Rugby team. Prior to this, she consulted to the St George Illawarra Dragons NRL team, and conducted research investigating the dietary intake quality of adolescent athletes, which she presented at the 2015 Dietitians Association of Australia National Conference.

Michelle believes that a healthy balanced diet and regular physical activity are fundamental to wellness and the prevention of injury and disease. Additionally, she sees food as more than just energy and nutrients, being also a source of enjoyment and pleasure. To keep fit and active, Michelle trains for and participates in triathlons, which she loves just as much as chocolate.

Narelle has been part of the Padstow Chiropractic family for the last 3 years and is a dedicated receptionist ensuring smooth operations of the clinic and exceptional patient experience.
